Stop 13 - DIZDAR PARK
The Pleasant Valley Cemetery was built here in 1874. By 1945, the cemetery had been neglected while the town children had no park to play in. Mike Dizdar funded the relocation of graves and the construction of a new park. Park is named in his honor.
Dizdar Park celebrated its Grand Opening in March 2026 following a major renovation. The updated park now features a new plaza, garden entryway, covered stage, public restrooms, shade trees, improved parking, and a firehouse-themed playground honoring the site’s historic fire station.
