Stop 1 - Camarillo Depot

When the Southern Pacific Railroad extended its line from Oxnard in 1899, the area began to evolve from agricultural land into a small town. By the spring of 1906, tunnels through the Santa Susana Mountains were completed, creating a direct connection to Los Angeles. The construction of the Southern Pacific Depot in 1910 was a pivotal moment, sparking a wave of commercial development in the neighborhood.
